Expanded Leadership Positions Company for New Markets, Strategic Partnerships and Continued Growth
Vancouver, Canada, September 16, 2009 – In Motion Technology, the leader in mobile networking technologies that efficiently connect and manage equipment, information and people in the field, today announced the appointment of Leonard Hordyk as Chief Executive Officer. In Motion Technology co-founder Kirk Moir will continue to serve as President and Chief Operating Officer.

Hordyk brings more than two decades of experience leading, financing and developing strategic partnerships to the In Motion Technology team. Previously, Hordyk was President and CEO of TIR Systems Ltd., one of the world’s leading innovators in next generation lighting systems. Prior to its listing on the Toronto Stock Exchange and acquisition by Royal Philips Electronics in June 2007, his leadership enabled TIR to build a strong portfolio of 187 patent filings and launch new innovative products resulting in exponential revenue growth.
Before joining TIR Systems, Hordyk held a number of senior management positions with Motorola’s mobile data group which led the establishment of the wireless data industry, delivering systems and solutions to enterprise customers such as IBM, and Federal Express, as well as service providers such as Hutchison Whampoa, T-Mobile, and China Unicom.
Hordyk joins In Motion Technology at a time when the company’s award winning systems are being adopted by many of the most demanding mobile enterprises in North America.
